Label Type: Normal and ZPL

 

Label Type refers to the file requested from the carrier and used to print the label.

 

ZPL Label Type ONLY WORKS with Zebra or ZPL-Compatible Printers!

 

Normal Label Type:

Creates files of PNG image type and works with all printers. 

You cannot print previously created ZPL labels when in Normal mode.

 

ZPL Label Type:

Creates files using the ZPL printer language and only works with Zebra and ZPL compatible printers.

You can print previously created Normal labels when in ZPL mode.

 

To Change to ZPL Format for Zebra Printers:  

a) Go to Label Printer Setup.

b) Select ZPL Mode and Save.

Important: 

- ZPL Label Type is not supported for Prepaid Labels as they are optimized for emailing to customers. 

- ZPL Label Type does not work with "Open as PDF" option.
