Explanation of Actions for Different Return Scenarios

Of the various Return Types, only Receive & Ship involves some action being taken with the product returned. It could be repaired, replaced with a different product or returned to the customer "as is". The following shows the correct Action for common scenarios:
 
Scenario Action
1. Product is fixable. The same product will be repaired and sent back to customer. Repair
2. Product is not fixable or facility doesn't perform that service. A replacement product will be sent to customer.  Replace
3. Product will be returned to customer "as is" and requires no action to be taken because:
  • Product was rejected due to damage, warranty expiration, wrong product or other reason.
  • Product is being re-shipped after failing to reach customer due to incorrect ship-to address.
